Changes to Attendance Procedures

Hello HHSS Families!  First We want to let you know that picture day is on Monday September 11!

Next, this is a general message to ALL Hal High families letting you know that we have made some changes to our attendance procedures regarding absences, lateness and signing out during the day.

If you have planned to pick your student up from school during the day, please send a written note with your student to bring to the office or send an email to [email protected] in the morning, and the student will be provided with a slip to excuse them from class at the specified time. This will make picking your student up more efficient as we have fewer secretaries in the office in the afternoons and we are not always able to get to the telephone calls or messages right away.

If your student is going to be absent please contact the school at [email protected] or 705-457-2950 and leave a message in the general voice mailbox. If your student will be arriving late to school, please send a note with them indicating the student is late for school. Your student should come to the main office when they arrive and receive an admit slip. This process will avoid a detention being assigned due to truancy or punctuality. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter.
