The White Pine Book Club is an extra-curricular club which invites students to read selections from the 10 Canadian author titles nominated by the OLA to receive the prestigious White Pine Literary Award. The club runs from October to March, with bi-weekly meetings to have discussions and do fun activities related to the books we are reading. Students who read 5 of the 10 titles are able to vote provincially for the White Pine award, and can receive 1 hour per book towards their community hours.
It is a great way to read all different genres of teen fiction while participating in a province wide literary event.
THIS YEAR’S TITLES WILL BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 15TH
