SPECIAL SERVICES

In addition to the Guidance counselling staff, HHSS provides access to additional educational and community resource personnel to further promote student success:

  • Student Success teacher – opportunities for students to access academic support and assignment completion
  • Special Education Resource teacher – IEPs, IPRCs, psycho-educational assessments
  • Referrals to social worker, Student Success Attendance Counsellor and public health nurse
  • Co-op – students in grade 11 and 12 explore the world of work and earn credits
  • Dual Credits – students have opportunities to earn both high school and college credits through Arts, Science and Technology programs
  • Outdoor Leadership Program – for students in grades 11 and 12 who are pursuing tech/outdoor/environmental post-secondary programs
  • SHSM – Specialist High Skills Major program in environmental and hospitality subject areas
